“I think of empathy as a kind of sacred space. When someone reaches out and shares that they’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or in the dark, we meet them where they are and say, ‘You’re not alone.’” ~ adapted from Brené Brown

“My name is Kendra, and I am registered in California as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). I strive to bring that same empathy into the therapeutic relationship, meeting clients where they are with compassion and presence. Early in my career, I supported individuals in crisis, which deepened my understanding of the sacredness of that space and the importance of creating safety. I also strive to maintain multicultural awareness in my work, honoring each client’s unique experiences and perspectives.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and use a strengths-based approach, integrating techniques from DBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness, and EFT to support individuals and couples in working through trauma, anxiety, grief, and relationship challenges. I have clinical experience supporting neurodivergent clients, middle school students, and adults navigating a variety of life challenges.
I am especially drawn to supporting individuals healing from childhood trauma and couples who want to strengthen their relationships. I believe therapy provides a space for self-discovery and growth. I bring curiosity, compassion, and a collaborative spirit to my work, and I value the opportunity to walk alongside clients on their journey.”
