Do You Accept Insurance?
We are out-of-network providers, which means we do not bill insurance directly. However, we can provide you with a superbill—a detailed receipt of services—which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Depending on your plan, you may receive partial reimbursement for your sessions once you meet your out-of-network deductible. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network benefits.
Questions To Ask Your Insurance Company:
-
Do you provide outpatient mental health coverage?
-
If so, what is my out-of-network deductible? Individual & Family?
-
How much of those have I met?
-
What is the reimbursement rate per session?
-
What is the allowable amount for a session? (A common CPT code to give them is 90834. Some insurance companies will disclose this and some will not).
-
What is my out-of-pocket maximum?
-
How much have I met?
-
Once I meet my out of pocket maximum, what percentage of the allowable amount is covered? (Often times it’s 100%).
-
What is the process for me to submit a superbill that my clinician gives me?
We understand navigating this can be hard. We are here to help answer any questions you may have.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does therapy cost?
Our standard session fees range from $150 to $300. For your convenience, we keep a credit or debit card on file in our encrypted database for seamless payments. We also understand that financial circumstances can vary, so each of our therapists offers a limited number of sliding-scale spots. If you’re in need of financial assistance, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to match you with a therapist who has an available spot.
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
Yes! Our therapists offer sliding scale appointments. We understand that financial circumstances vary, and we offer flexible fee options to make therapy more accessible. Please reach out to discuss how we can work together to find a rate that fits your situation.
Why Don’t You Accept Insurance?
We chose not to accept insurance to ensure that we can provide the highest quality of care tailored to your unique needs. Insurance companies often impose limitations on the number of sessions, the type of therapy, and the length of treatment, which may not align with what’s best for your healing journey. By working outside of insurance, we can focus entirely on your well-being, without any restrictions or compromises. We do, however, try our best to make therapy accessible to as many people as possible. If finances are a challenge, please feel free to reach out to see what we can do to help you find support.
Can someone else pay for my therapy?
Absolutely! In your client portal, you can enter any credit or debit card information, including a card provided by a parent or partner. The payment method you choose will be automatically charged after each session. If you need to change or update the payment information at any time, you can do so easily through the portal or by letting your therapist know and will help you navigate payment.
What type of payments do you take?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Discover) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) run through major credit cards. We keep a credit card on file and it will be charged in the event of a late cancellation or not showing up for your scheduled appointment. We ask for 48 hours notice to make a change to your scheduled appointment.
What happens if I can’t afford the intensives?
We have partnered with CareCredit, in order to provide financing for your mental health care. If you are interested in an EMDR Intensive but need financing in order to pay for the service, you can explore your financing options through Care Credit
What If I Don’t Feel Like My Clinician Is a Good Fit for Me?
While we can confidently say you’re in good hands, we also understand that the therapeutic relationship is deeply personal and that personality fit plays a significant role. If you ever feel that your therapist isn’t the right match for you, please let us know. We’re more than happy to connect you with another therapist within our practice or provide referrals to trusted professionals in our network. Our priority is ensuring you receive the support you need, whether that’s with us or elsewhere.
FAQ's About Financing
How do I apply for financing?
Simply visit this link and complete the application. It usually takes just a few minutes, and you’ll receive an instant decision.
Why would I use CareCredit?
CareCredit can be a helpful option if you prefer to spread payments over time rather than paying in full upfront. This can be especially useful for our Intensives, which may have a higher cost. We want to ensure that everyone has access to the care they need.
What payment plans does CareCredit offer?
CareCredit offers flexible payment plans ranging from 6 to 60 months. Many plans include no interest if paid in full by the promotional period’s end.
Will applying hurt my credit score?
No, applying for CareCredit won’t affect your credit score. It’s a “soft pull,” similar to the information you see on services like Credit Karma.
Once I’m approved, what happens next?
After selecting a payment plan, you’ll receive an email confirmation with all the details and instructions on how to make your monthly payments. You can then proceed with confirming your appointment with your intensive therapist.
