“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you go; they merely determine where you start.” – Nido Qubein.

“Seeking support takes enormous courage. My approach is a balance of candidness and tenderness to meet your needs. I welcome feedback throughout our work to ensure we are on the right track and will continue to check in to support you in the best way possible. I use a trauma-focused lens- incorporating biological, social and psychological perspectives. As a certified Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, I work primarily from the EMDR modality and integrate parts work and somatic techniques as well as mind-body medicine approaches when it feels appropriate in our work together.

Conditions I treat include (but are not limited to) anxiety, depression, chronic disease management, trauma/PTSD, weight management, life transitions, adjustment disorders, women’s issues, parenting, first responders and their families, as well as working with couples.

I believe discovering the neurobiological aspects of how our bodies and minds work together; as well as, how challenges come to be through earlier lived experiences, is essential to the healing process.

A bit about me: I am married with two children. I hold a special place working with people who have diabetes. I have had Type 1 diabetes since 2002; living with a chronic disease can take a toll on emotional well-being and relationships with important people in someone’s life. My husband has been with Cal Fire since 2010, so I am familiar and compelled to work with the first responder community. First responder families endure a specific set of challenge; I appreciate working with both the first responder themselves and their significant others in couples therapy.

I am honored to have the opportunity to work with you.”
