"Sometimes life can feel quite heavy, but I am here to tell you, you don't have to carry it alone. Together we will explore your world and discover how you can gain understanding, relief, control and empowerment, acceptance, connection, or a positive change in your life. I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Therapy Trained, which allows me to help clients explore emotionally charged or traumatic memories, negative core beliefs, and patterns on a deeper level.
With me you can expect a warm, trusting, supportive environment so you can safely and comfortably set goals, process, heal and grow. Therapy looks different for each individual, which is a beautiful way to celebrate our differences. I will meet you where you are and explore what works best for you. You are the expert on your life, and I will remain a curious supporter on your journey. I will hear you, see you, and respect you always.
I am a first-generation Arab-American and know all too well how confusing and conflicting cultures, identities and sense of belonging can feel. This can sometimes result in internalized shame, guilt or anxiety that we can uncover and tackle in the therapy room. I welcome and celebrate clients of all backgrounds and am committed to understanding you, your culture, identity and experiences to best support you on your healing journey and path to living authentically.
I enjoy working with couples, individuals, adolescents and families on issues related to relationships, trauma, anxiety, sex, and multicultural issues. I work with couples to help them better understand each other's inner world and needs and learn to communicate effectively. I also help individuals process trauma, anxiety and multicultural experiences with EMDR therapy after insuring they have extensive emotional regulation and relaxation tools. Whatever distress you are experiencing, we will collaborate to set goals and work toward relief."
